Gallus def. British Strong Style Following months of conflict, the best factions in NXT UK finally clashed in an epic Six-Man Tag Team main event, just days before the first-ever NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool. Fueled by unyielding animosity on both sides of the ring, all six of the competitors fought tooth-and-nail throughout the contest. Just a few of the explosive moments included British Strong Style clearing the ring in an all-out brawl, an overwhelming assault by all three members of Gallus on the resilient Tyler Bate and Trent Seven, The Artful Dodger getting hurled into the steel ring steps by Joe Coffey before roaring back with a monster Superplex on The Iron King, Pete Dunne locking Wolfgang and Mark Coffey into back-to-back-to-back submission maneuvers, one of the longest airplane spins in recent memory by the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion, a wicked powerbomb by Joe that nearly put away the BruiserWeight and a corkscrew senton by Bate off the ring post and out on the ringside floor that took out every competitor in sight. In the culmination of the hard-fought showdown, it was ultimately Joe Coffey who would reign supreme, hitting All the Best for the Bells on Tyler Bate to give Gallus a huge victory in their kingdom and The Iron King incredible momentum heading into his WWE United Kingdom Championship showdown against Dunne this Saturday at NXT UK: Blackpool.

Moustache Mountain def. Gallus’ Mark Coffey and Wolfgang to earn their place at TakeOver Moustache Mountain squared off against Gallus’ Mark Coffey & Wolfgang in a high-stakes main event to determine the first finalist in the hunt to become the NXT UK Tag Team Champions at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool. In the height of the ultra-intense matchup that included an epic German suplex by Bate on both members of Gallus, Coffey suddenly waved his brother Joe Coffey, out to ringside and up onto the ring apron. But, before Joe could interfere on his cohorts’ behalf, WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne joined the party and took down the Iron King, opening the door for Bate & Seven to overcome their opponents to earn a place in the Finals at TakeOver. Nevertheless, Gallus attacked them from behind and ignited a huge post-match brawl. After British Strong Style momentarily vanquished their foes from the ring, Dunne revealed that he had talked to Johnny Saint and that he would face Joe Coffey for the WWE United Kingdom Title at TakeOver. Gallus then reentered the ring and the two trios continued to brawl as the show went off the air.

Continuing to set the standard for NXT UK tandems in anticipation of the forthcoming NXT UK Tag Team Titles, Tyler Bate & Trent Seven went head-to-head with Saxon Huxley & Tyson T-Bone. Although the “Big Strong Boys” faced some opposition from their tough-as-nails opponents, a crucial miscommunication occurred when T-Bone delivered the elbow drop to his own partner, clearing the road for Bate & Seven to hit a clothesline into the snap dragon suplex on Huxley for the important win.

The Coffey Brothers and Wolfgang have been at war with Moustache Mountain for weeks, and the bad blood intensified when Gallus carried out a vicious backstage assault that allowed them to punish Trent Seven’s knee under a utility box. In the early moments of his one-on-one matchup against Joe Coffey, Seven found himself at an immediate disadvantage in his quest for retribution when his leg buckled beneath him. Clearly, the knee was still in bad shape. When the other members of Gallus climbed up on the apron, Tyler Bate stepped into the ring in defense of his partner, and it wasn’t long before he was battling Mark Coffey and Wolfgang all the way to the backstage area, leaving Seven and Joe Coffey to truly settle things themselves. Coffey wasted little time refocusing his attack on his opponent’s injured knee, but Seven heroically fought through the pain with a superplex and the Figure-Four Leglock. In response, Coffey executed a devastating belly-to-belly suplex off the apron and onto the ringside floor. Back in the ring, Coffey continued to punish Seven’s knee, locking in the excruciating Boston Crab, but Seven wouldn’t tap out and somehow reached the ropes. Although the resilient competitor fired back on The Iron King yet again, when he attempted to lift Coffey on his shoulders in the final moments, his leg finally gave out, and Coffey capitalized with the match-ending All the Best for the Bells.

Travis Banks returned to action in a main event clash against Wolfgang. Starting things off with a fierce attack in the early moments, there was no doubt that The Kiwi Buzzsaw was out for redemption after suffering a Gallus assault back in Cambridge.

Nevertheless, The Last King of Scotland soon got ahold of his prey and hurled Banks’ previously injured shoulder into the steel ring post and then into the steel ring steps, with a little Mark Coffey distraction mixed in for … good measure?

The resilient Banks fought through the pain, however, and roared back with a dropkick that sent his opponent outside the ring, followed by a high-impact aerial assault off the apron and a wicked stomp back to the squared-circle.

At that point, Mark Coffey again opted to play a part in the action, providing a second distraction that helped Banks catch a boot to the face, a back senton and a vicious spear.

In the final moments of the match, the resilient Banks hit a fierce kick on Wolfgang that convinced the Coffeys to once again get involved and they climbed up onto the ring apron. But this time, Moustache Mountain emerged to even the odds and swiftly dropped their adversaries back down again. Taking the lead from his assisting comrades, The Kiwi Buzzsaw dove through the ropes and sent both Joe and Mark crashing to the ringside floor. Though this opened the door for Wolfgang to hit Banks with a forearm as his opponent looked to refocus his attack on the apron, The Last King of Scotland’s attempt to bring Banks back into the ring with the suplex was thwarted by Trent Seven, who tripped him up while the official was distracted and allowed Banks to fall on his opponent for the pin.

The Coffey Brothers & Wolfgang kicked off NXT UK by reinforcing their edict of dominance over the brand. At the same time, the Gallus faction were clearly out to belittle British Strong Style, following a volatile altercation between the two factions last week.

Much to their surprise, however, they were soon interrupted by the returning Travis Banks, looking for payback after suffering an injury in a “mysterious” attack back in Cambridge. When Joe’s invitation for The Kiwi Buzzsaw to join him in the ring resulted in a three-on-one assault, Moustache Mountain quickly joined the fray and helped send the dangerous Scottish trio heading for the hills for the second episode in a row.
